We moved to E10 a few months ago and in our old E9 world, we used to do campaign associations by passing a contact field in a create campaign member call. Well, we've moved on from that dinosaur way of doing things and are leveraging the response rules and program builder to push responses to SFDC (not using the campaign association through an internal event for a number of reasons).
Long story short, we are seeing inconsistencies in Eloqua recognizing a campaign response on a contact. Just this week, there was an external asset upload and Eloqua shows the external activity on the contact but it doesn't show the campaign response. Even weirder, the campaign analysis report is in fact showing the external activities. So, it seems as though Eloqua isn't registering the campaign response on the contact. We do have the campaign response rules set up correctly, so that's not the issue. We don't just see this with external activities either- it's sometimes across the board. And sometimes the campaign response shows up but can take several days...other times, it doesn't show up at all.
I'm posting this because I'm wondering if others have issues with campaign responses registering against a contact. If so, I'd love to hear your challenges and if you were able to get any resolution.
I do have a case open about this, but I don't really expect much to come from it unfortunately.
