Job duties:
- Responsible for managing the marketing database and marketing automation system that scales and performs reliably. Act as the primary admin for marketing database and marketing automation software.
- Empower demand generation team to be able to run numerous multi-channel nurture programs by region and by customer segments.
- Maintain quality of marketing contact database: data capture, enrichment, de-duplication, cleansing
- Develop segmentation of the database to empower smarter marketing campaigns
- Create frameworks and guidelines for marketing automation workflows such as lead scoring, lead nurturing, support integration with webinar systems, etc. Build complex, multistep flows, based on activity, rules, or sales rep actions.
- Optimize email deliverability and readability and avoid overlapping lead lists.
- Generate dashboards and reports at the business and operational levels. Ensure necessary data and tracking is in place to do so.
- Work with sales-ops and engineering teams to design database workflows between sales, marketing, and user databases. Ensure these processes are accurate, efficient, and timely.
- Work closely with demand generation, sales, and sales ops teams. Translate business requirements into new workflows and processes.
Essential skills:
- 3 - 6 years experience in marketing operations for high tech, financial or B2C company
- Prior success in implementation and management of marketing automation software using Agile/Scrum
- Experience in Eloqua (preferred), Marketo, Pardot, Hubspot or comparable systems.
- Familiarity with SQL.. Comfortable with HTML, CSS, APIs.
- Strong understanding of demand generation methods and metrics.
- Thorough understanding of challenges related to marketing automation workflows, database management. Proven track record in building the processes to solve these problems.
- Self starter, passion for solving hard problems, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Very detail oriented, ability to think through edge cases, and troubleshoot quickly.
- Strong analytical skills. Experienced in CRM (Salesforce preferred) and Excel.
- Track record of working well with a team in a fast-paced environment.
