Hi guys,
I'm turning to you in the hope that you'll have an answer to my question!
I'm looking at the data from a custom report that I created using Analyzer. The basis of this report is the Email overview analysis one, to which I added several columns, among which Email address. Thus, I'm looking at different metrics at the email address level.
What puzzles me is that in several instances, I have contacts who have 0 unique open but several total opens. I also have several contacts that have 0 unique open, 1 unique clickthrough and several total opens. I considered different time spans to ensure that the issue wasn't time-related.
I know that when original recipients forward the emails that they've received from Eloqua, all activities performed by their contacts are attributed to the original recipients. What I am thinking now is that if the original recipients didn't open the communication before forwarding it, then perhaps Eloqua records all opens under "Total opens", but leaves "Unique opens" null since the original recipients didn't open it.
What do you guys think?
