We recently integrated our web forms with Eloqua and very soon after found that we're were being attacked by bots who submitted large amounts of spam data.
I have trawled through top liners looking for a way to add more robust validation to Eloqua forms which would prevent forms from being submitted, but without the use of Javascript this doesn't appear to be possible.
All answers I've found suggest adding conditions to processing steps, however this method doesn't prevent the form from being submitted, it just deals with the data different once inside Eloqua.
My question therefore is; do the processing steps determine which data enters the database and which doesn't? Based on this, does the spam data sits in a separate environment external to the database?
If someone could clarify the above it would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Chris
