We were recently acquired - we use Eloqua and the parent company uses Marketo. Both companies use SFDC and work is currently being done to merge the two SFDC instances so that there is one instance. We are gathering information about being able to use Eloqua and Marketo both integrated with the new single SFDC instance - early inquiries indicate that this is possible, although not ideal. We want to use SFDC as the "master database" so information goes between Eloqua/SFDC and Marketo/SFDC but we don't want data from Marketo flowing into Eloqua or Eloqua into Marketo. The SFDC community indicated this could be controlled by having 2 separate "users" in SFDC - one for Marketo and one for Eloqua; there could also be two views per contact record in order to separate from what each marketing automation platform is updating. I am trying to see if anyone else is in a similar situation (or has gone through this) - and what we need to be aware of as we look to do this. Any information is greatly appreciated.
